About Swibit

Swibit is an AI solutions company operating in the MENA region, the UK, and the US. We specialise in delivering high-end consulting and building scalable digital platforms, AI-powered products, and strategic solutions across sectors such as government, public safety, real estate, logistics, education, and public services.

Our model is global design and local execution — combining international expertise with deep local market understanding to deliver impactful, future-ready solutions aligned with national digital transformation visions.

Swibit is actively expanding in Oman, working on strategic engagements with government and enterprise clients in areas including AI consultancy, digital transformation, and technology modernisation

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our delivery operation in Oman. You will serve as the critical bridge between clients and engineering teams — gathering requirements, mapping business processes, translating needs into structured specifications, and ensuring what gets built is what the client actually needs.

You will work on-site with government and enterprise clients in Oman, facilitating workshops, documenting as-is and to-be processes, writing functional specifications, and supporting the delivery team through the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and observation

  • Map current-state (as-is) business processes and design future-state (to-be) workflows

  • Write clear, structured functional requirements specifications (FRS) and user stories

  • Define acceptance criteria and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in requirements early

Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary requirements liaison between the client and Swibit's delivery team

  • Facilitate requirements workshops and discovery sessions with client stakeholders

  • Manage requirements traceability — ensuring every requirement is addressed and tested

  • Communicate technical constraints and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in clear language

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client teams

Delivery Support

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and engineering teams

  • Support sprint planning by ensuring user stories are well-defined and prioritised

  • Participate in sprint reviews and demos — validate deliverables against requirements

  • Contribute to proposal development — scoping, effort estimation, and solution design

  • Produce process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system interaction maps

Consulting & Advisory

  • Provide business process improvement recommendations based on industry best practices

  • Support digital transformation assessments and gap analyses

  • Contribute to feasibility studies and technology advisory engagements

  • Document findings and recommendations in client-ready reports and presentations

Requirements

Essential

  • Based in Oman or willing to relocate to Muscat

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT services, consulting, or software delivery

  • Strong experience with requirements elicitation — interviews, workshops, process mapping

  • Ability to write clear, structured functional specifications and user stories

  • Experience working on government or enterprise client engagements

  • Strong understanding of business process modelling (BPMN or similar)

  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate between business and technical teams

  • Proficiency with documentation and diagramming tools

  • Ability to work independently at client sites with professionalism and confidence

  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Preferred

  • CBAP, CCBA, or similar business analysis certification

  • Experience in the Omani or GCC public sector

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle) or system integration projects

  • Exposure to AI/ML projects or digital transformation programmes

  • Understanding of data migration, system integration, and API-driven architectures

  • Experience with UML, data flow diagrams, or enterprise architecture modelling
