About Swibit

Swibit is an AI solutions company operating in the MENA region, the UK, and the US. We specialise in delivering high-end consulting and building scalable digital platforms, AI-powered products, and strategic solutions across sectors such as government, public safety, real estate, logistics, education, and public services.

Our model is global design and local execution — combining international expertise with deep local market understanding to deliver impactful, future-ready solutions aligned with national digital transformation visions.

Swibit's UK presence serves as the company's design authority and consulting hub, supporting engagements across the GCC — particularly in Oman and Iraq — with senior-level consulting, architecture, and business analysis capability.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst based in the UK to support Swibit's consulting and delivery engagements across the MENA region. You will work on strategic projects for government and enterprise clients — gathering requirements, mapping business processes, conducting gap analyses, and producing the structured specifications that drive high-quality delivery.

This role combines remote working from the UK with periodic travel to client sites in the GCC (primarily Oman and Iraq) for workshops, discovery sessions, and key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and observation

  • Map current-state (as-is) business processes and design future-state (to-be) workflows

  • Write clear, structured functional requirements specifications (FRS) and user stories

  • Define acceptance criteria and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

  • Conduct gap analyses between current systems/processes and proposed solutions

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and assumptions early in the project lifecycle

Consulting & Advisory

  • Support digital transformation assessments and technology advisory engagements

  • Provide business process improvement recommendations based on industry best practices

  • Contribute to feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and roadmap development

  • Produce client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations

  • Support pre-sales activities — scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development

Client Engagement

  • Facilitate requirements workshops and discovery sessions with client stakeholders (remote and on-site)

  • Serve as the requirements liaison between clients and Swibit's engineering teams

  • Communicate technical constraints and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in clear language

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client teams across cultures

  • Travel to GCC client sites for key workshops, reviews, and milestones (estimated 4–8 trips per year)

Delivery Support

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and engineering teams

  • Ensure user stories are well-defined, prioritised, and ready for sprint planning

  • Participate in sprint reviews — validate deliverables against requirements

  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle

  • Produce process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system interaction maps

Requirements

Essential

  • Based in the United Kingdom (right to work in the UK)

  • 4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT services, consulting, or software delivery

  • Strong experience with requirements elicitation — interviews, workshops, process mapping

  • Experience working on government or enterprise client engagements

  • Ability to write clear, structured functional specifications and user stories

  • Strong understanding of business process modelling (BPMN or similar)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working with distributed / cross-cultural teams

  • Comfortable with periodic international travel (GCC region)

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Preferred

  • CBAP, CCBA, or BCS Business Analysis certification

  • Experience working with GCC / Middle Eastern clients or government entities

  • Arabic language skills (any level — significant advantage)

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle) or system integration projects

  • Exposure to AI/ML projects or digital transformation programmes

  • Understanding of data sovereignty, compliance, and government IT standards

  • Experience in public safety, transport, healthcare, or financial services sectors
