Role Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Delivery team in Iraq. You will own the end-to-end delivery of technology projects — from kick-off through to go-live and client acceptance — coordinating engineering teams, managing client expectations, and ensuring Swibit delivers on time, on budget, and to standard.

You will sit within the COO's Delivery department and work across Swibit's business lines: client solutions, consulting engagements, and internal product initiatives. You are the person who makes sure things actually ship.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Own the delivery of 2–4 concurrent projects from initiation to closure

• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations

• Run sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Track progress against milestones and proactively manage risks and blockers

• Ensure deliverables meet Swibit's quality standards and the Dual Quality Gate process

• Manage scope — identify scope creep early and escalate appropriately

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects

• Manage client expectations through regular status updates and transparent communication

• Facilitate requirements gathering and change request processes

• Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and sign-off with clients

• Support the Business Development team during pre-sales with effort estimation and project scoping

Team Coordination

• Coordinate cross-functional teams — Backend, Frontend, AI, Design, QA

• Work with Tech Leads to align technical decisions with project timelines

• Work with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear and well-documented

• Track team capacity and flag resource conflicts to the Delivery Manager

• Contribute to process improvement and delivery standards across the organisation

Requirements

Essential

• Based in Iraq (able to work from the office on a hybrid schedule)

• 3–5 years of experience managing technology / software delivery projects

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) — practical, not just theoretical

• Experience managing cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA)

• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)

• Structured thinker — able to break complex work into actionable plans

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities

• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Preferred

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification

• Experience in an IT services, consulting, or software agency environment

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and technical concepts

• Experience managing government or enterprise client engagements

• Exposure to AI/ML projects or digital transformation initiatives

• Experience with Odoo, ERP implementations, or systems integration projects

• Budget management and financial tracking experience

• Previous experience working with distributed / remote teams
